Ride the Bike to School Week

How do you spell S-T-R-E-S-S?
Ah, that would be the "ride your bike to school week".
If it wasn't one child going to be killed, it was another.
(Or, perhaps their mother was the one who narrowly escaped death, via heart attack.)

The concept is fantastic (honestly).
All the kids ride their bikes to and from school for a week.
During this week, the children are encouraged to learn to ride, or perfect their biking skills and learn about riding in traffic.
The school sets up lanes in the courtyard. They erect traffic signs and even a stop light which the kids have to follow.
Very cool really.
There is an emphasis placed on biking safety as the children learn to share the road.

Hopefully they enjoyed themselves.
For all the stress and near misses, the week should prove its worth.

AWESOME! Why doesn't the US do something like this? It seems like it would surely cut down on the number of idiots that continue to ride their bike INTO traffic.
Way to go Addie, Stella & Emory!

No. Not A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
Stressful.
That said, it's a good thing.
It really is.

Feel your pain girl. Parker just took off the training wheels and every other jaunt around the circle brings some kind of injury :-)
