Rome, a third day to hang out and play in the piazza

Day three in Rome, we woke up to rain sprinkling our tent and the towels hanging outside with a dreary wetness we hadn't exactly prepared for. While Matt and I stammered to figure out what to do in the rain in Rome, the kids made their own fun in the tent....

When the rain slowed a bit, we headed out, not to miss the possibilites of another day among Romans
(and fellow tourists). Afterall, you don't see this scene every day eh?
So, navigating another day in the city, we made our own adventures.

So we drank from fountains...

played like gladiators (without the gore)...

posed like Roman statues...

studied chariots...

and gobbled up gelati  (of course).

The kids posed for photos....

and did annoying things to each other...

and we waited in restroom lines until I thought severe clinical dehydration of the family might be a better option. Here, the kids were waiting at a restroom for Matt and Emory. It looked as if Arleigh was pick pocketing the advertisement behind him, though he was just playing with a door handle.

Venimus.Vidimus. Vicimus.
We came. We saw. We conquered.

We window shopped...

and ate delicious Italian food...

roamed from tops of hills to bottom of museums...

and played tourist one last day...

in Rome.

For when in Rome, do what the Romans do, right?
