The Turkish Landscape

The trip included visits to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Ankara. We are truly grateful to our friends for sharing cars and organizing the entire adventure. What a remarkable vacation!
(not a car in our party, but amusing isn't it?)
Instead, we traveled light....

(Just kidding)

O.k. Seriously, the landscapes~
Emory says it best here....

Driving to each major stop, meant there was opportunity to experience the landscape, which was as diverse and interesting as the people. Just as the variety of ethnicity, religion, and culture in Turkey, the landscape varied in extremes as well, from snow covered mountain ranges or rolling hills to vast flat fields and salt lakes.

To think we only covered a section of the country gives rise to the real possibility that we might have seen even more diversity had we stayed longer. And, man, do we wish we could have stayed longer!
